Bowls
Darwin has a wide range of bowls competitions and events available that should suit all bowlers, new and experienced with inter-club (Top End Shield), intra-club (Club Championships) and social games.
Social games and special gala event days are open to all members, guests and visitors. Participation in Top End Shield and Club Championships is open only to full members.
Social bowls are held on the following days and times:
Tuesday AM - Club Selected Pairs (9.30am for 10.00am start) – Open to all
Wednesday PM – Nominated Pairs (5.30pm for 6.00pm start) – Cash Prizes. – Open to all
Thursday PM – Magpies (5.30pm for 6.00pm start) – Open to all
Sunday AM – Jackpot Pairs (9.30am for 10.00am start) – Open to all
Bookings are essential and there are nomination forms in the Club. If you can’t get to the Club, phone and ask one of the friendly volunteers to put your name down. Players are encouraged to be present at least 15 minutes prior to start times so organisers can finalise the draw.

Darwin Bowls and Social Club wants to ensure that bowlers and the greens are protected at all times. Some basic club rules for use of the greens have been developed and must be adhered to:
1. NO BARE FEET – Wear only completely flat soled shoes (thongs are fine)
2. No drinking on the greens
3. No children on the greens (bowls can cause injury)
4. Do not drop or throw bowls on the greens
5. Do not sit on the edge of the greens
6. For the enjoyment of all, do not use offensive language
