BPL Cup Preliminary Round

Darwin Bowls and Social Club will host one preliminary round of the BPL on Saturday August 3rd, providing one team the opportunity to qualify to compete in the BPL Northern Territory final. The winner of the Territory final will travel to Club Pine Rivers QLD in November to compete in the BPL Finals.

The date and Venue of the NT Final is yet to be announced.

The BPL Cup provides an opportunity for club-based teams to progress through various rounds to National Finals, to be played in parallel with the November leg of the BPL at Club Pine Rivers, Queensland.

National Final
Winning teams from State/Territory BPL Cup Finals will be flown and accommodated in Brisbane to play at Club Pine Rivers in parallel with BPL20 – played from Sunday 10 -14 November 2024 for the BPL Cup National Final.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many bowlers, with the final match at the National Finals showcasing all the elements of a BPL match including the use of the electronic scoreboard, ground announcer, and use of the TV show-rink inside the grandstands.

States and Territories will be allocated the following number of National Finalists’ spots:

For 2024, allocations are as follows:
ACT 1 team NT 1 team TAS 1 team SA 1 team
QLD 2 teams NSW 2 teams WA 2 teams VIC 2 teams
Information relating to the National Finals will be sent directly to the successful teams.

Uniform
Competing clubs teams are required to wear their regular club uniforms in all BPL Cup
matches (all players matching).
These uniforms and their included sponsor brand marks must be in line with the Bowls
Australia’s Logo Policy.
